Timeframe
We suggest ordering your gown twelve to six months out from your wedding date. If your gown needs to be made as a special order, this can take up to four months. We also like to allow a buffer time for delivery and any alterations needed.

What kind of wedding are you planning? Are you going for a bohemian vibe in nature, or something filled with glitz and glam? Knowing the overall look and feel of your wedding will help guide the kind of dress you choose.

Have a think about the green and red flags for your gown. Do you want sleeves, a full skirt, or something you can customise between the ceremony and reception? Knowing your non-negotiables makes finding your dream gown easier.
Budget
Plan how much you want to spend, so you don't get your heart set on a gown that is out of your price range. Luckily, the gowns we stock here at Mango's are very affordable and shopping locally means that the money you would have spent on travel & accomodation can go back into your dress budget! Remember to factor alterations into your cost- these can easily be $100+.
Some brides love to come and purchase their gown as soon as they have an engagement ring on their finger, and that's okay too! Getting the dress ticked off your wedding planning list early can make the process stress free. However if you have left things to the last minute or are planning a short engagement, we have access to styles with a delivery timeframe of two weeks- but your options may be limited.
